Minute books and an audit report for Amalgamated Textiles Australia Ltd., Macquarie Worsteds Limited, and Ascot Investments Pty. Ltd. Copies of a wire bound brochure with wool and textile samples, and newspaper clippings for Macquarie Textiles and Macquarie Worsteds. Onkaparinga items include advertising photos, transparencies, illustrations and sketches, slides, film and film negatives, draft papers, and a fabric specification handbook. Some slides and illustrations are for Laconia blankets. Other items include Downs, Coulter & Co. financial records, a John Vicars & Co Limited centenary book, and a speech on the textile industry written by an unknown author for a Sir Robert Webster lecture.

It's possible the company was purchased or amalgamated by Macquarie Textiles at some point.

April 20, 1999 - "Joint textiles venture" from The Border Mail discussing a new joint venture between Macquarie Textiles and HTG Australia Pty Ltd for manufacturing and marketing Macquarie blankets and rugs domestically and internationally. The new company formed was Jason Blankets Pty Ltd.
April 21, 1999 - "Jobs anger: Axe may fall on 30 workers" from The Border Mail discussing the closure of the Macquarie Textiles North St consumer products site, and transfer of finishing and packaging production to HTG Australia. A photograph of the North St employees is included in the article.
July 23, 2003 - "Chilly stock are calves in sheep's clothing" from The Weekly Times discussing a new non-woven wool fabric manufactured by Macquarie Textiles to be exported to Canada.

Contains information on Onkaparinga Woollen Company, Warrnambool Textiles, Macquarie Worsteds, and operations in China. Also mentions the General Investments Australia subsidiary deal, and closure of wool mill at Orange in 1989.

A centenary booklet detailing the history of John Vicars, his family, and his company from 1873 to 1973. Also mentions Barker's Mill, Marrickville Mill, trends in fashion and production, and contains photos of machinery, the wool and fabric manufacturing process, and senior staff. John Vicars and Co. was acquired by Macquarie Textiles in 1992, which is possibly why it is part of the collection.

A typed speech as part of the Sir Robert Webster Lecture series started by the Textile Institute in 1979. The author is unknown, and no information could be found in regard to the 1980 presentation. The speech mentions Amalgamated Textiles, Macquarie Worsteds, and the wool mills at Orange and Albury, as an example of how good management decisions played a part in the company continuing to thrive after many competitors had closed down. The rest of the speech focuses on how management affects industry and economic growth in general. On the last page are "BPB/LKS", possibly initials, and the date "14/11/80".

Handbook contains technical specifications on assessing fabric quality for billiard cloth, dressing gowns, electric blankets, furnishing, industrial fabric, ladies wear, menswear, and saddlery. The date of the original handbook is unknown. Loose papers within the volume under the Bardak Pty. Ltd. and Onkaparinga Textiles name are titled "Additional sheets for fabric specification book" and date from Oct 1987 to Aug 1993.

Oct 1956 audit report created by W. D. Scott & Co. Pty. Ltd. in relation to the sales, management, and equipment for the Albury, Orange, and Goulburn wool mills. Also contains loose papers of a Mar 1973 report and recommendations from an unknown date for the mending department at the Albury mill.
