Scope and content

Compiled by Keith France, former Executive Officer, CSC. The photos of construction of the Leonard Huxley Building (completed in 1974) and the installation of the Univac 1100/42 were taken by Margaret Brinkley, who had been an Operator on ANU's IBM 360/50 and who became Operations Supervisor on subsequent Univac computers at the ANU Computer Centre and its successor, the CSC. Keith France advises that many of the photos of people were taken by Brian O'Rourke, a former programmer in the User Services Group at the CSC. Brian O'Rourke also prepared many of the speech bubbles and photo captions. The page captions use to title the photographs in this collection were put together on a best efforts basis in 2021 by Keith France, Kathy Handel and David Hawking.
