The file contains Cole's notebook kept during the Sepik war operations, which provides information about the 'sentries' (village men who were paid to spy on the Japanese), a 'Black List' of village men and a list of the Sentries, with comments about their activities and reliability, A handwritten note sent to Bob Cole by Rink De Jong (a member of a Dutch Party) on 1/5/44 after his party had been 'jumped by the Japs', Correspondence between Bob Cole and Professor Alan Powell 1988-1996, Biographical information and letters about other men who served with ANGAU. Significant items include five notes passed from village men to Bob Cole during the Torricelli Campaign from November 1944 to September 1945.
