Handwritten notes by Shineberg and an extract from "Historical Records of Australia, Gipps to Russell" 1840, regarding the death of Captain Croker of 'The Favourite' in Tonga.

Boyd

Contains an extract from chapter VII of "Last Cruise of the Wanderer", annotated by Shineberg "1868?" Describes the death of Captain Boyd and a battle between white sailors and tribal people from Guadalcanal. Also contains photostats of 19th century journal pages concerning Boyd's death.
