These are the minutes and agenda papers of meetings of the School Committee (1957–1967) which was later known as the Faculty Board. There are also the Director’s papers relating to Faculty meetings (1972–2000).

The report by architects Mussen, Mackey and Potter includes colour sketches and plans of the proposed building, as well as cost estimates.

Two files of correspondence between Professor Robert Porter as Director of the John Curtin School of Medical Research and Lady Florey about the Florey Lectures, 1984 exhibition and Memorial Fund. One additional folder of publications relating to Florey Memorial Fund and commemoration of centenary of his birth in September 1998.

This material was collected together by Dr MRC Banyard primarily for the establishment of an exhibition to commemorate the work of Sir Howard Florey in the foundation of the John Curtin School of Medical Research. There are placards used in an earlier exhibition held in Oxford on the development of antibiotics, a tissue perfusion chamber, photographs of Florey, images which appeared in the exhibition, photographs of the exhibition, and correspondence relating to the exhibition which was opened by Senator Susan Ryan, Commonwealth Minister for Education and Youth Affairs, in March 1984.

The reel-to-reel audio tapes record the sessions of the international conference ‘Medical Practice and the Community’ held at the John Curtin School of Medical Research 26-30 August 1968. Among those who spoke at the conference were the Chancellor Dr HC Coombs and the Vice-Chancellor Professor JG Crawford.
