List from Harold Roy Carne of women graduates, of which there had only been 8, of Veterinary Science of the University of Sydney as well as a letter giving further information on these graduates, where they were working and certain departments where there was known to be discrimination against women such as the New South Wales Department of Agriculture. Graduates listed are Mrs A Rylah (Miss Ann Flashman), Miss K Raymond, Miss K Farr, Mrs G Ward (Miss G Griffith), Miss E Harvey, and Mrs Scamps (Miss D Arnott), and Miss Johnston. Mr Carne says he has been unable to trace Mrs Abbott.
Includes article (p65) regarding a Salary Survey of scientific workers which makes no reference at all to women working in this field. The survey into salaries of women working in science seems to start in March 1940, at the time that this article was published.
