Professor Baxter's memoir includes his reminiscences as a PhD scholar at the ANU from 1961, as Research Fellow 1965-1968, Fellow and Senior Fellow then from 1975 Professorial Fellow in the Department of Theoretical Physics in the Research School of Physical Sciences. He retired in 2002 as Professor in both Theoretical Physics and in the School of Mathematical Sciences.

One borrower's ticket for Canberra University College Library dated 1956. Three borrowers's tickets for the General Studies Library, Australian National University, dated 1960, 1961 and 1962. These were donated by Penny Sohier in August 2023. She was a student at Bruce Hall in the year it opened.
