This series includes items originally referred to as Case Files. Topics include: awards, conferences, related unions and companies, disputes, Basic Wage Case, National Wage Case and Waterfront industry reform.

Representing companies in the Australasian Steamship Owners Federation (ASOF), FPIS commenced on 1 Nov 1920, as a scheme to assist an Interstate Steamship Company on occasions where a “Union or any member … makes a demand … which is unreasonable or in excess of the conditions (a) prescribed by law, or (b) laid down by an award or an agreement”.
